Course #1: Roofing Safety
, Presented by Juan Calderon, Cal/OSHA 

Learn about fall protection, pneumatic nailers, and eye   protection. This class is a must for roofing workers of all experience and skill levels.

Course #2: Heat Illness, Presented by Juan Calderon, Cal/OSHA   

What are the rules for protecting employees from heat? How can you spot the symptoms of heal illness and help save a co-worker’s life? Learn all of this and more in this important presentation.

Course #3: Personal Protective Equipment, Presented by Juan Calderon, Cal/OSHA 

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is an essential part of any safety program, but proper utilization of PPE is essential to preventing injuries on the job site. In this class, learn and understand the types of PPE, the basics of conducting a "hazard assessment" of the workplace, how to select appropriate PPE for a variety of circumstances, and understand what kind of training is needed in the proper use and care of PPE.

Course #4: Safe Driving Procedures for Roofing Employees by Officer Kenny Johnson, CHP

This course provides attendees with the tools necessary to improve driving safety, including best practices.  The class will include information from NETS (Network of Employers for Traffic Safety, and is intended for drivers of company vehicles as well as personal vehicles.

Course #5: Ladder Safety, Presented by Andy Bull, CH Bull Co.

There are hundreds killed and more than 100,000 injured per year using ladders.  Employees will learn to choose the right ladder, look at and inspect the ladder, insure a safe ladder setup, move safely with and on the ladder, and how to be a ladder safety expert. Andy will present a video and 5-10 ladder demonstrations.

Course #6: Working Safely Around Skylights and Roof Openings, Presented by Lorie Baugh, Safety Compliance  

Skylights and roof openings are a very common hazard on rooftops, and too often their danger is underestimated.  But, protecting employees around these hazards can be managed with the right preparation and knowledge.

Course #7: Silica Training for Roofers, Presented by Lorie Baugh, Safety Compliance

This silica training will educate on crystalline silica and how to prevent silicosis. The training will cover several key areas: What is silica dust? Where can it be found? What are the affects of silica dust exposure? What is silicosis? What engineering controls can be put in place to prevent respiratory silica? How to protect yourself from silicosis and what PPE protocols should be considered.
